Psyche Portraits
A Psyche Portrait is a unique service that combines artistic expression with personal coaching to help individuals gain insight to their inner world, promote self-awareness and catalyze personal growth.
How It Works
1. Initial Consultation
We'll begin by meeting so that I can learn about your goals, interests and personality. This might involve asking you questions about your values, beliefs and life experiences. Go ahead and play The Symbolism Game before we meet! Just complete level 1 unless you want to go further.
2. Artistic Expression
Using drawing, I'll begin to create a portrait that represents you, while we speak. The artwork will be based on the information gathered in the initial conversation and may incorporate symbols or imagery that are meaningful to you.
3. Personal Coaching
As I create the portrait, I will offer you guidance and support, helping you to explore your thoughts and feelings and gain deeper insight into yourself. This will involved asking questions, offering feedback or suggesting additional exercises or activities.
4. Reflection
Once the piece is complete, we will reflect on the artwork together, discussing its meaning and exploring what insights it may offer. This can be a very powerful tool for self-discovery and personal growth, allowing you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your life experiences.
What is a Psyche Portrait?
Psyche Portraits can be described as auto-Rorschach-blotting. Throwing paint on the invisible (wo)man. You send me the signal of you, and I modulate it into a visual frequency.
Simply put, a Psyche Portrait is an aesthetic reflection of you. This process is a courageous yet lighthearted approach to self discovery, that provides a visually engaging perspective on personal goals, philosophies, challenges, inspirations, and patterns of thought. In tandem with Jungian style psychoanalytic philosophy, this process taps directly into the dream like layers of the subconscious mind with a visual richness beyond words and language. What can this do for me?

How It Works
1. Reach out
Contact me by telephone, email or via the contact form, and I will answer any questions you have to the best of my ability. We can additionally discuss customization and pricing at this time.
2. Play the Symbolism Game!
You only need complete level 1, unless you are inclined to go further. If the instructions are not entirely clear, or you would like assistance with this process, we can discuss during a 15 minute free consultation, or schedule extra time for the portion of the drawing that is done live.
3. Drawing begins
I devote my energy and attention to capturing elements of you within the ink on the page. Depending your selected preferences, this can involve a live consultation in which creation takes place in real time, or be entirely derived from the "magic" embedded in imagistic language.
4. Your map gets delivered
You will have the option to view digitally in advance of the piece being delivered via mail, and if you are interested in my take on interpreting your piece, you will also receive a written interpretation of the symbolic narrative of the map.
5. Optional Post-Mapping Discussion
Depending on your selected preferences, we can spend time discussing the symbolic elements and narratives within your Symbol Map, or I can give you guidelines for how to read it yourself!
